Boom in home working as four million shun the commute:

Advances in technology mean number who do jobs without leaving their property is up by 800,000 in a decade

More than four million people now work from home as technological advances reduces the need to travel to an office.

Official data reveals one in seven people in employment now work from home, compared to one in eight a decade ago.

There are now 4.2million working from home, 800,000 more than in 2005.

The increase in homeworkers has been driven largely by women, with the numbers of females working outside the office has risen three times faster than for men

The increase was driven by a rise in women working at home, with the number of female homeworkers jumping three times faster than for men.

It comes as more women try to find flexible working arrangements to fit around childcare, and follows a rise in the number of female entrepreneurs.

Since 2005, the number of women working from home has risen by 2.7 per cent compared to 0.9 per cent for men.

Beautiful Portugal has inspired us all.

Jan and I have been at the Millionaire's Mastermind training weekend in Vilamoura, Portugal. We have had training from the unstopable simon Stepsys on the future growth of My Advertising Pays. Information on the new improved company structure which the Germans have used to such great effect, by Alex Vitocco and motivational coaching by Rainer Barton. Great support was given by Richard Mead and Julie. Alex finnished off the weekend with a very entertaining session on Speaker training.
